For a payment to a bank in Bahrain, a Bank Identification Code (BIC) is mandatory. This is also known as a SWIFT address.
Beneficiary details
- An IBAN in Bahrain is mandatory and consists of 22 characters. Example: BH02CITI00001077181611
- Enter the full name of the person receiving the money in the "Recipient Name" field. Do not use abbreviations.
Cost
These international transfers are subject to private transfer fees and business transfer fees. If you choose for the OUR option, the beneficiary will not be charged anything by their bank. ABN AMRO charges an OUR fee for this.

The conditions for a payment to Bahrain
For a transfer to a bank account in Bahrain, it is mandatory to enter a Purpose code.
If you use Internet Banking (business) or Access Online Classic
Enter the purpose code at the beginning of the description. See the list of purpose codes below. It is also possible to add a personal description in addition to the mandatory description.

Select the reason for payment in the field 'Purpose code'.
